Although often overlooked, a splashback is an important component of any kitchen, protecting walls and surfaces from grease, dirt and water. There are plenty of options available, from sleek glass or laminate panels to ceramic or stone tiles. Whatever your taste, the good news is that as a splashback generally only covers a small area of the walls, you may be able to afford to spend a little more per square metre to create a really eye-catching centrepiece.
