⚫ Start at the longest wall with internal corners. Measure the wall and mark the top edge of a length of skirting to show where it needs to be cut. Fit the skirting board mitre tool in a vice or workbench and put the left-hand end of the skirting in the mitre with the other end resting level on the trestle. Protect the skirting from denting by placing a piece of hardboard under the thumb screws on the mitre tool. Use a saw to cut the mitre for the left-hand, then move the skirting to cut the right-hand corners.
