GREATLAUNCHROADS: MA-2210, MALLORCA
It’s going to take two ferries to get there (one to cross the Channel, and the other one from Barcelona– a seven hour crossing), but we promise that if you make the effort to get yourself to Mallorca you will be rewarded with some of the best roads you can imagine. It was our complete pleasure to be taken there by KTM for the launch of the Super Duke 1290 GT last month, and we were amazed by the quality and variety of the roads on offer. If you read the launch report you’ll know that grip isn’t a high priority on some sectors of the island’s roads, but on resurfaced sections the riding is truly sublime. It’s a big enough island to be almost inconspicuous, meaning that you’ll create an island-wide hunt for you only if you’ve been a hooligan of the highest order. The North East of Mallorca is the most interesting element of the island, with some spectacular scenery – and even better roads – the Ma-10 being a peach. The area pictured is to the north of Port de Pollenca, with some cracking roads on the way to a lighthouse at the very top of the island. Truly some of the most spectacular roads we’ve ever ridden – get there now!
Have it!
