I’m loving the Penz13.com Beemers. We got a mint test in the bag at Almeria, learning loads more about the bike and working on improving set-up, whilst gathering a load more data in the process.
No bike’s ever perfected, but if I had to race the superbike at the TT tomorrow I’d be ready for it. The thing’s a missile and the new K-Tech suspension we’ve fitted has made it a weapon in the corners too. The stocker went a treat as well. It’s practically a road bike with a system and some suspension on, though you wouldn’t have thought it considering how well it rides. I only wish I’d had a few more laps to finely tweak it, but that’s how it goes. Going by the celebratory burnouts the BMW mechanics were doing at 2am in our hotel’s cellar, I reckon the whole team came back pretty pumped about how the gig went. Those Germans are a funny old lot...
