PICS : JENNY LOCK
In less than a month I’ll be pinning back the throttle and giving it the berries down Bray Hill. The year’s gone mega quick. It only seems like yesterday since we were on the Island last, skimming along hedgerows and terrorising the local Manx cats – it’s a good job they’ve got no tails...
I’m set for it, though, and can’t wait for these last few days to fly by. I’ve got some mega teams around me this year, and some great bikes to ride. You can never get too much testing in the bag, but I reckon we’ve clocked a decent amount in these last few months. I mentioned last issue I was going to get some miles in on the T3 Racing Triumph Daytona 675. Well, after a mingingly wet debut at Silverstone BSB’s test day, where I managed to clock around four laps between all the red flags, we headed out to Cartagena for a couple of days and that’s where the party really got started. The Triumph’s such a sweet bike to ride and it didn’t take me long to feel at home on it. That being said, no bike is ever mint out of the box, but we got some important data from the gig and we’ll be making some small changes to the Trumpet before its final test ahead of the TT.
