Coventry Motofest was all started in order to celebrate motoring within a city full of heritage in that department, and has snowballed into success with 100,000 people spectating over its two days. Now in its third year of action, it’s gone from strength to strength, attracting decent crowds – as well as some absolutely bloody gorgeous machinery, ranging from a £1.8m Aston Martin Vulcan to Kevin Schwantz's very own RGV500. Walking around the paddock you can almost smell the amount of money spent on crafting some of these machines; from the weird and wonderful to the fast and exotic. So what exactly am I doing there on a race rep’ MV Agusta?
To hell with the normal speed limit, let’s go racing!

Hooning around the ring road, that’s what. Specifically, between junctions four and seven is what I’ll be doing on the F3 800. The event organisers cone this section of Her Maj’s highway off over the first weekend of June and invite said machines (and me) to completely ignore the 40mph speed limit ordinarily imposed on the road for the purpose of pure entertainment.
