The 2017 RR is tweak-lite
BMW opened its account for 2017 by showing off the `new' S 1000 RR and the naked S 1000 R, among other trinkets. But let's start with the superbike, the one most pertinent to us. With it (and the rest) now being Euro4 compatible, we wondered if there would be any changes to the motor. However, nothing has been mentioned about it in the spec sheet. So either BMW has fiddled with it to keep the same power figures (They are still claiming 199bhp at the crank) and have neglected to mention it, or they don't want us to know just how much power Euro4 has sapped away via a sneaky extra catalyser or the like the dyno will tell all...
