So that’s it, TT 2018’s done and dusted. And what a gig it was. I had high hopes going into it off the back of a pretty decent return to the NorthWest 200. As warm-up acts go, it’s a mega event to get you up to speed and it meant I also bagged a load of much needed track time. I’d only ridden the stocker once before we got there and had had no testing on the big superbike whatsoever. But that’s just how it goes. The Trumpet also did me proud, along with the whole of the RAF Regular & Reserves team who worked their nuts off to deliver me with some proper pieces of kit to blast around on. Before they’d had time to change their under crackers after the NW200, the lorries were locked, loaded and bouncing off the limiter to get to the Isle of Man.
