L’artisane is known for its Senegalese popart style, noticeable in their handbags like the pingus, within the jewellery, and the delivery of luxe fashion from packaging to garment finish. The designer is a true fashion and haute-couture nerd. During the interview, Khadija Aisha gushed over today’s fashion vistas, industry counterparts and everything in between. She also proudly shared her most recent experience as a member of Chanel’s la galerie du 19M, a three-month popup gallery with creations in collaboration with the local fashion artisans of Senegal.
Her passion and drive are fuelled by her love to learn and provide excellent service to her clientèle. She holds three MBA degrees, one of them being in luxury brand management, Khadija runs a full-time international fashion house and is the mother to four children. This is clearly not a glamorous fashion job, this is true resilience in a fierce and fast-moving industry. So we simply asked the expert, how does she do it?
