In aworld where dif ferences are seen as non-starters (at best) or as barriers (at worst) – the pull to blend in with the pack (and to shy away from those who don’t) is undeniably strong. Look at the zebra – one of Africa’s many majestic creatures – and we can see that individuality doesn’t have to equal ostracisation. Individuality – as seen through the fact that each zebra possesses its own distinct set of stripes yet stands so clearly as part of a collective herd – can be a pivotal part of unity, of oneness.
