Olivia Okoli: emphatic 100m winner
MARK SHEARMAN
On the track, one of the most outstanding victories was achieved by Guildford athlete Olivia Okoli.
She won the 100m race by four metres in 11.91 despite a huge 3.3m/sec headwind and was clearly a far superior performance to her PB 11.90 with a 1.8m/sec tailwind, in the English Schools semi-finals.

Tade Ojora: sprint hurdles winner
Charmont Webster-Taipe ensured a Surrey one-two.
England also went one-two in the boys’ 100m with Charles Hilliard winning into a headwind 11.06 and reversing ESAA form with Kaie Chambers-Brown.
There was also a form reversal in the 200m in which William Hughes easily took the race in a PB 21.85 with Romell Glave second this time.
Glave and Chambers-Brown were also part of the successful 4x100m team along with Tade Ojora and Sam Bennett and they won in a Championship best 41.50. England won all four relays.
Ojora was a clear winner of the hurdles in 13.03 with Bennett second.

Khahisa Mlanga: 800m gold
There were two particularly outstanding English performances in the field.
Wesley Matsuka-Williams won the triple jump with a windy 15.43m but also had a legal 15.32m which moved him to sixth all time in the under-17 age group.
Bethan Rees won the inter girls’ javelin with a throw of 50.25m which strengthens her hold on second place all-time in the age group.
