In the early hours of 15 April 1912, RMS Titanic sank into the icy depths of the Atlantic Ocean with the loss of more than 1,500 lives. Since its tragic sinking, Titanic has remained a subject of huge public interest and its story continues to resonate today – more than a century later – with countless books, films and exhibitions exploring every facet of the disaster.
