But as with any big lifestyle change, there’s a period of adjustment as you learn to navigate the world as a vegan, which can seem overwhelming if you don’t know where to start. One thing you might learn this month is that many of your favourite everyday products are actually accidentally vegan! These include Co-op’s custard doughnuts and Party Ring biscuits – hurrah! However, you’ll have to develop your label reading skills to decipher whether certain products are suitable for vegans as some ingredients aren’t obviously derived from animals (albumen or isinglass anyone?!).
