I love this jacket; I have it in the Tech Beige; a stone colour that goes with every bit of run kit I own. It’s not a full-on waterproof, but rain beads on the surface of the water-repellent material and it’s good for light rain showers. Wet weather aside, this is a super thin, stylish jacket for keeping the wind out. It’s soft and supple, feels nice next to the skin and doesn’t cling when your body gets warm (I hate the feeling of a run coat clinging to my forearms!). The coat fits well and doesn’t restrict movement, and when the wind drops, it packs down really small so it’s perfect for shoving in a trail shorts pocket or waistband. Gorewear is a relatively new running brand to me but I highly rate the shorts and jacket I’ve tested this season (shorts in the May issue).
