As skyscrapers winked at each other across Victoria Harbour, and music floated over the heads of delighted tourists, we gazed out of a barge making its way from one side of the bay to the other. Bobbing in the darkness, almost between two worlds of light, it was at this moment that we were certain that we had arrived in one of the world’s most vibrant, enjoyable and slightly overwhelming cities on the planet; Hong Kong. This bustling metropolis, with its distinguished history, fantastic culture and unique pace was to be our home for the next 48 hours – and we were going to enjoy every moment of it.
