Given that we live in a world where men outnumber women three-to-one in family films, where women are almost four times as likely as men to be shown in ‘sexy’ attire, the Dublin Feminist Film Festival is an essential antidote to the misrepresentation of women in the film industry.
The theme this year (its fourth) is ‘Feminist Futures’ and organisers say that topics such as science, the avant-garde, technology and the digital world will be very much in the foreground.
