Born out of love for her family, Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, mother of three, a chef and physiologist, was determined to provide her gluten-intolerant son with a normal life. This meant not settling with serving her family the bricklike bread alternatives sold on the supermarket shelves. So, armed with her specialist training and skills, she set out to create a solution herself, and Genius Foods was born.
But it took real determination to create bread that was worthy for food lovers worldwide – Lucinda was adamant that having a food intolerance shouldn’t mean a compromise on taste or nutrition, so it took over 2,000 recipes and 2 broken ovens before she finally landed on a winning recipe. And it was this perseverance that put her on the path to creating an innovative ‘Good for the Gut’ food range, specifically designed to help everyone live well and feel great.
