CROWNING GLORY
Pantene’s My Hair Won’t Be Silenced campaign will resonate with menopausal women across the country. New research by the brand reveals that 48% of Britons says they have judged older women based on their hair – and ageist and sexist labelling of menopausal and perimenopausal women include phrases such as “mutton dressed as lamb” and “midlife crisis”.
Although almost half of the women polled said that the fear of being mocked or judged, or society’s expectations in general, have influenced their hairstyles or how they dress, 77% agreed that it is empowering to see older women looking the way they want.
