Can I convert my loft space?

Having bought a new house 18 months ago, I was sure that two double bedrooms and a single would be all the space I needed, but when you work from home every inch counts! Just when I thought my only option was to move, I had an epiphany – I could convert my loft. It looked like a vast, empty space up there as I balanced precariously on top of a ladder, and I had no idea how to go about it, what it would cost or whether, legally speaking, I would be able to do it anyway. But fellow loft-converters, don’t worry yourselves. Here I have compiled a guide to sussing out if it’s the right choice for you, and all the steps you’ll need to take.
