Welcome to my home
A bit about me
I’m Gigi Eligoloff and I live with my kids Kit, eight, and Delphi, four.
Where I live
My 1920s home has three bedrooms and is in Barnes, London.
What I wanted to change
The garden had extra space as we are at the end of a row of terraces, but the inside was a typical two-up, two-down. We were able to transform the house dramatically by extending into the side return and enlarging the kitchen.
How I made it my own
I tried to keep as much of the character of the house as I could. But the colours and vintage feel is all me.
My favourite part
I love the lightness and the symmetry of the back of the house. When the blossom comes out in the spring and the grass is lush and green it’s a such a pleasure to gaze out onto.
GOOD IDEA
Look for pendants with coloured ceiling roses; they finish off the look perfectly
GOOD IDEA
The rustic farmhouse look is great for families – knocks and scratches are all part of the charm
All of the dining room chairs were from Gigi’s local community hall. All she did was give them a quick wipe down and that was it
