My room...
My problem kitchen
The kitchen had dated dark wood cabinets that we inherited when we moved in over eight and a half years ago. It had a country feel, which suited the house, but it was something I really wasn’t keen on. I never really felt like it was our kitchen.
How I made it work
Due to the gas and electric supply to the kitchen and the expensive stone flooring, which we’d had replaced a year earlier, we had to pretty much keep to the same layout. This wasn’t ideal but we were able to remove the ceiling beams which modernised the room instantly. The bright new kitchen was a brave move but I really wanted to add colour to the room.
My favourite part
I love the height of the new ovens and built-in microwave. It’s so easy to use and saves me from bending down to cook. It was an indulgence as it’s much more expensive than countertop versions, but it was well worth it!
