The February issue of Horse&Rider has arrived and this month it’s packed full of advice to keep you motivated this winter…

Gareth Hughes is back with part two of his series and he talks all things suppleness. With three exercises for you to try and test riding tips from the top of the sport. Plus, international eventer and coach Felicity Collins shares her advice on introducing your horse to arena cross-country.

Find out how listening to your mind and body can enhance your connection with your horse, in and out of the saddle, with yoga instructor Kathryn Thakrar who also shares her favourite exercises to help you release tension. Stay motivated, positive and in the zone this winter – with seven ways to spice up your riding sessions, tips to help you enjoy your horse throughout the chillier months.

Does your horse crib-bite or weave? Or are you worried at the prospect of him developing repetitive behaviours? We find out why horses develop stereotypies, as well as how we can prevent and manage them from behaviourist Kayna Prescott. Fizz Tickridge-Marshall has got a few things for you to consider before putting your mare into foal.

Help keep your horse healthy from the inside with our guide to forage replacers and make him shine on the outside with a no-rinse wash – we put a selection to the test so your horse will feel refreshed and smell amazing, without having a full bath! UK's best-selling equestrian monthly Reviewed 13 August 2020

Best horse mag ever

Just bought some back issues and a subscription. Used to buy it from the feed barn. Really like the way I can access the old issues whenever I like, and it is so quick to open. And this is the best all round read for me. Reviewed 16 July 2013
