An estranged daughter has lost a supreme court bid to overturn her mother’s will, in a decision that leaves things “slightly confused”, according to Old Mutual Wealth’s Rachael Griffin.

Melita Jackson’s will excluded her only child, Heather Ilott, leaving her £486,000 estate to three animal charities.
