IF YOU’VE lived a reasonably comfortable life insulated from the reality of struggles for survival in Scotland perhaps in other times you’d be forgiven for failing to understand the significance of the huge sums of money squandered daily in government and other public institutions. But you shouldn’t be pardoned for your naivety or ignorance today, because in this darkest era, when we’ve seen unimaginable suffering and loss, every voter has a duty to be glued to every news item, newspaper, internet blogger; search for explanations, resignations - demand accountability and the return of hope to our politics and our lives.
