OH, AND THE heading is nae a spelling mistake of COUP…Well, only a week until the days stretch oot again, and boy, will we be happy to see that.When you’re reliant on solar power, every extra minute helps.

We got our first real snow last night, and as you’ll remember in the last issue, we had moved the solar panels intae the field, and boy, what a good move that turned out to be. Snaw scraped off in minutes instead of Dad playing a poor mans Santa clambering on the rooftop in the freezing cauld.

Not that a trip onto the roof wasn’t performed mind you, as a few day earlier, we had the gales and the lum fae the wood stove made a break for freedom, but we recovered it before it managed to get tae the Outer Hebrides, so that and the porch roof sheeting had to get fixed back on…in the cauld and dark.
