Up hills and doon Vales

THERE ARE A few hills that have a special meaning to us, not necessarily because they are difficult, nor because they offer the best of views and not even as if they are particularly high, but because of the personal significance of them.

Such is this months walk, The Lomond hills, also known as The Paps, in the Kingdom of Fife.

A long, long, long, long (ahem…enough of the longs says Dad), time ago, when my personal assistant was just a wee boy, his parents moved from ‘grey into colour’ when a ‘flit’ was made from Dundee to a new life in the fledgling town of Glenrothes.
