Health forum openness
TUESDAY’S health forum meeting was lively, but there was a sense of relief among the public that, at last, health and social care managers were being open about the challenges ahead and how to meet them. There are big challenges in providing adequate care for an ageing population in a dispersed region while cash is becoming ever- scarcer. But with an inclusive approach, combined with clarity and openness, the public will support health and social care management. Without this mindset, the opposite is likely to happen.
