Argyll Enterprise Week offers exciti ng events around the digital arena, one of which is the ‘Digital Boost Cyber Security’ workshop being held at the Corran Halls on Wednesday November 2. This informati ve workshop will feature an ethical hacker and experts from the Scottish Government to assist att endees on the matt er of protecti ng their business online and preventi ng cyber att acks which can cause havoc to small businesses. There is also an informati ve session on Innovati on being held at the Corran Halls on the same day, which will feature Andrew Cameron of the V&A Museum in Dundee to talk about its innovati on journey. This will be followed by an interacti ve session and a Q&A with the experts. For those interested in tourism and craft, Sheena Kitchen from Craft Scotland and Jenni Steele from Visit Scotland will be presenti ng a workshop on Friday November 4 at the Argyllshire Gathering Halls (AGH), focused on the opportuniti es within the tourism industry for craft makers and how to make the most of these opportuniti es and grow their business.
Jenni and Sheena will be joined by local business woman Wilma MacKenzie of Luckenbooth Gallery in Tarbert.
Tourism is a key sector for Argyll and the ‘Wild About Argyll – Adventure Tourism in Argyll and the Isles’ workshop will be held at the AGH, also on Friday November 4. This is a must for those interested in this growing industry and will feature a review of the 12-day adventure by cyclist Mark Beaumont.
