A flavour of Mac Turner’s book…

One autumn evening, at the age of four years, I was taken to our front door to look out across a night sea adorned with a fairyland panorama of twinkling lights.

They moved silently through the blackness, spreading from Crarae Point to Brainport Point and across Loch Fyne to Kilbride Island.

The profusion of bright navigation and cargo cluster-lights of the fishing fleet setting out under the night sky was wonderfully exciting to watch.
