Trust in bid for top award

Alison Tosh, who started the Smile of Arran Trust, and who does a sponsored walk round Arran every year, has been nominated for a Pride of Britain Award.

Alison’s son Arran died from a brain tumour in 2014 and the charity set up in his name has raised more than £80,000. The Pride of Britain Awards celebrate the achievements of people who through their actions make the world a better place and will be broadcast on STV on November 1.
