Ferry quick annual meeting

The annual meeting of the Isle of Arran Ferry Committee took just nine minutes on Monday night at the mountain rescue headquarters.

Few members of the public turned up at the AGM which last year saw calls for the ferry committee to act in a more democratic and transparent manner. There was also concern that the committee held its meetings in private.

However, no concerns were expressed this year, and chairman Iain Thomson gave a brief outline of the past 12 months and financial matters were discussed. With no challengers, Neil Arthur was re-elected the independent travellers representative unopposed.
