Now that’s a REAL beach barbecue

The weather stayed dry and with sand underfoot locals and visitors flocked to the rearranged Brodick Beach Barbecue last Sunday.

They used the occasion to celebrate the return of sand to the beach for the first time in several years allowing for beach volleyball, sand races and the traditional sandcastle building competition all to take place.

There were burgers and drinks and by the time of the famed raffle a healthy crowd had built up on the beach.
