Micro hydro-electric power scheme planned

A planning application has been made by the Rokpa Trust for a micro hydro-electric scheme at the Samye Dechen Shing Retreat Centre at Glenscorrodale on the Ross Road.

The application is almost identical the one first applied for in May 2010, which was allowed to lapse after a neighbouring landowner was unable to sign a lease for a small piece of land on which to locate part of the intake.
