Preparations advanced for first festival

Preparations are progressing well for the first ever Arran Triathlon Festival.

The Island-2-Island event is so named because the unique start to the event will be a powerboat ride to Holy Isle. In order to keep local residents up to speed with what is happening during the weekend of Saturday June 3 and Sunday June 4 a meeting is being held on Monday May 1 at 6.30pm in the Arran Outdoor Centre in Lamlash to which all are welcome.

The festival is the first ever to be staged by the Arran Junior Triathlon Club to raise funds for the club. As well as being able to find out about the event those attending will be able ask questions about the proposed closure of the shore road at Clauchlands between 4.45pm to 6.15pm on June 3 to accommodate the children’s race.
