Silverware success at bridge club

The results of the Arran Bridge Club’s aggregate competition held at Brodick on Thursday January 19 were: NS 1 Douglas and Margaret Bruce, 2 Anne McKelvie and Janie Maclure, 3 Margaret MacGill and Jessmay Peacock. EW 1 Tricia Martin and Douglas Hamilton, 2 Jan and John Beattie, 3 Ellie and Mel Jones.

The Peggy Currie Cup, teams of four competition held at Lamlash on Monday January 23, winners were: Margaret Bruce, Douglas Bruce, Douglas Hamilton and Tricia Martin. Runners-up and winners of the Ann Cook Tray: Pat Adamson, Jennifer McArthur, Morag Gardner and Brenda Livingstone.

The Boyd Trophy, round four, held at Brodick on Thursday January 26. 1 Margaret and Douglas Bruce, 2 John Baraclough and Jennifer Wales, 3 Jan and John Beattie.
