Citizens Advice now offers tax help

In addition to the general advice service currently offered throughout its bureaux and surgeries, the North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service (NACAS) is now able to offer a specialist tax service to both new and existing clients on Arran as part of a scheme backed by HMRC.

With an increasing in demand for tax assistance, residents of North Ayrshire will now be able to obtain advice about a range of tax issues, including PAYE, special relief, National Insurance and tax credits from the service.

This area of speciality, which NACAS can now deliver, provides prudent advice to clients who have complex tax issues alongside the general advice that is given by volunteers on a daily basis. The new service sees a shift in how HMRC delivers advice across the country, enlisting NACAS, based on its reputation and existing advice services, to assist those who require help with what can be a complex issue for many.
