AFTER criticism over the high number of empty seats at the Olympics, sales for the Paralympics have been soaring at the last minute and it is reported the majority of tickets have gone for the athletics final sessions.
Last week Rio organisers reported the highest ever one-day ticket sales for the Paralympics, as 145,000 were snapped up on the Wednesday two weeks out from the opening ceremony.
The Paralympics kick off on Wednesday September 7, with the 10-day track and field programme starting the following day at the Olympic Stadium.
