The 20-year-old 800m runner was one of the biggest revelations in British athletics last year when he made the team for the World Championships in Beijing, having won the European junior title and run a 1:45.78 personal best at the Anniversary Games to go third on the British all-time junior list, just one hundredth of a second behind Steve Ovett.
