THE IAAF Taskforce overseeing Russia’s suspension from international athletics will reconvene with the IAAF Council in February when it hopes to be able to lay out a roadmap and time schedule for the country’s reintegration.
The taskforce’s independent chair, Rune Andersen (pictured), reported at the 207th IAAF Council meeting that while there had been steps forwards in Russian athletics, there had been insufficient progress to permit its return to international competition following the country’s ban for a state-led doping programme.
