IN the same way that team selections for championships have tongues wagging, the British Athletics World Class Performance Programme announcement each year continues to throw up a range of interesting questions and helps start to shape some intriguing storylines for the coming year.
This time Cindy Ofili is the only Olympic athlete who is judged to have progressed significantly to now be considered a realistic medal prospect for 2017 (see page 9) and joins the upper elite bracket, although a similar level of progression for Andy Butchart will doubtless see him further rewarded in future.
