GEMILI NAMED AS GB RIO SKIPPER

ADAM GEMILI has been selected by British Athletics to captain Team GB’s track and field team in Rio.

The 22-year-old will compete in the 200m and the 4x100m relay four years after making his senior debut at London 2012.

British Athletics performance director and Team GB athletics team leader Neil Black said: “It’s rare that an athlete should have such widespread respect at such a young age, but his conduct, performance credentials and ability to unite people is one of the best I’ve ever seen in all my time working in athletics.”
