ASLI CAKIR ALPTEKIN has had an appeal against her doping ban dismissed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
The Turkish 1500m runner (pictured), who won 1500m gold at London 2012 before being stripped of the title last year after abnormalities were detected in her biological passport, was looking to have her suspension further reduced on the basis of providing assistance to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
