Own the streets: Vivian Cheruiyot and Tirunesh Dibaba are both planning to run marathons in 2017

AFTER more than a decade of joint domination in women’s long distance running on the track, Vivian Cheruiyot and Tirunesh Dibaba will switch their focuses to marathon running as of 2017 as the two greats of distance running continue on their collision course.
The pair have won a combined total of nine World Championship titles since 2005 and four Olympic golds since 2008, and have met in Olympic finals since Beijing with each enjoying success over the other.
