HARRY AIKINES-ARYEETEY hopes his upturn in form will put him firmly in the reckoning for the final relay team in Rio.
The sprinter has struggled in 2016 but ran a PB-equalling 10.08 in Loughborough in a race which saw bobsledder Joel Fearon run a 10.04 PB.
“I’ve known this whole season I could run a good time. I wanted to do that at the Europeans. Unfortunately I wasn’t selected individually for the 100m. I was hoping again I’d be able to prove myself in the relay but wasn’t given that opportunity unfortunately,” said the 27-yearold, who is hoping to run well in the Anniversary Games.
