THE WORLD Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has suspended the Rio laboratory less than two months before the Olympics are due to start.
The WADA incoming director Oliver Niggli said in a statement: “The suspension will only be lifted by WADA when the laboratory is operating optimally.”
Despite the fears now facing anti-doping in Rio Niggli assured athletes that the “best solution” would be implemented in time for the Games.
