Gay men love travel. At least that’s what we’ve been led to believe by numerous consumer surveys. Perhaps this is because we (supposedly) have more disposable income than the average straight person, who is more likely to have children — and therefore less freedom to travel. It could also be because many of us had a hard time growing up and therefore attach a high value to the idea of escape. I don’t know about you but every time I’m getting ready to go on holiday I still feel the same sense of excitement as Judy Garland’s Dorothy as she sets off on the Yellow Brick Road.
