PLENTY OF FUN AWAITS — BUT HERE ARE A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER IF YOU’RE PLANNING TO ATTEND THIS YEAR’S EVENT

Do head down early — Brighton & Hove Pride starts on Friday 2 August, the day before the parade, with the Pride Pleasure Gardens springing up on the Old Steine for three days and nights. Sink The Pink and Melanie C will be performing on the Friday evening so make sure you zig-a-zig along (tickets required).

Don’t miss dance troupe Prancing Elites, who’ll be strutting their stuf in the Pride Pleasure Gardens on Friday evening. Hailing from America’s Deep South, the all-male group faced discrimination but persevered and, after becoming viral stars, bagged their own reality TV show. The Brighton performance will be their first UK gig.
