I’m 25 and seriously considering having Botox. I’ve heard it might prevent me from getting wrinkles in the future. Is this true, and are there any risks involved? I’m tempted to have fillers, too, but not sure which is best.

Botox and fillers are “minimallyinvasive” cosmetic procedures, undertaken to improve appearance. They’ve grown in popularity among all genders as an alternative to plastic surgery and although they may be less invasive, quicker and often cheaper than going under the knife, they do come with risks. Botulinum toxin — there are lots of diff erent brands and Botox is one of them — is used to relax the muscles of the face, reducing any lines created by movement.
