The June edition of The Australian Arabian Horse News features an in-depth article on the 2012 Australian National Arabian Horse Championships. There are around 100 photos depicting Australia’s magnificent purebred and Arabian Derivative champions. Written by Sharon Meyers, the article covers the five days of the championships including successful bloodlines behind the winners, the judges’ comments, full results plus the Three Judge System Score Sheet Summary for purebred halter classes.

The breeding season will soon be upon us and the Stallion Feature in this issue will be of immense interest to mare owners. Included is a profile and fact file about each stallion. The popular section about Prominent People includes Cindy Reich (USA) and Debbie Taylor-Thies (NSW). Part three of Training Arabian Horses by Warwick Toft is another highlight.

Andrew K. Steen did a fascinating interview with Dr Edward Skorkowski (Junior), whose father Dr Edward H. Skorkowski was a Polish scientist who devoted his entire adult life to the Arabian breed and wrote several books on horses. Beth Minnich wrote a thought-provoking article entitled Managing Genetic Disorders – What Comes After Testing? Australia’s foaling season is fast approaching and Cindy Reich wrote a timely and knowledgeable article about Foaling Tips. Plus news, an interesting farm profile, Derivative Action and much more.
