Cast your mind back to the mid-90s and Emma Bunton was rocking her alter-ego of Baby Spice, dominating the pop charts with iconic hits such as Wannabe and Who Do You Think You Are? with her fierce fellow bandmates. Fast forward several decades and she’s now a married mum-of-two and a successful radio DJ, having co-hosted the Heart breakfast show for five years – only recently stepping down to focus on the Spice Girls reunion tour this summer. Somehow, Emma has also found the time to pursue her passion of eco-living, with her mother and baby brand, Kit & Kin, stocking ethical nappies, skincare and babywear, the company is going from strength to strength. Here, she tells us more.
Kit & Kin is my newest baby. The inspiration for the brand came from when my kids were very little and suffered from eczema, and I struggled to find natural products on the shelves which wouldn’t irritate their skin even further. I wanted to help make this process easier for parents by creating a go-to brand that they can trust, which uses natural, gentle and sustainable ingredients and materials. I was lucky to be introduced to my co-founder, Chris Money, through a mutual friend and once we’d met we knew we had exactly the same vision and got straight to work bringing Kit & Kin to life.
